The Mutsubishi Fuso Truck & Bush Corp (MFTBC or just Fuso) is now selling the Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid truck in Hong Kong.  The truck is already being sold in Ireland and Australia and, of course, in the company’s home market of Japan.  Fuso is a part of the Daimler Group (Mercedes, Western Star, etc).

The Canter Eco is a parallel hybrid, light duty delivery truck which can be configured for box delivery, refrigerated delivery, flat bed, utility bed, and other commercial options.  As a parallel hybrid, the Canter can operate all-electric or with a combination of electric and engine power.  In most situations, the truck delivers a 20% fuel economy increase over the same truck’s gasoline or diesel powered models.

MFTBC is based in Kawasaki, Japan and is one of Asia’s leading commercial truck manufacturers.
