Mean Green Breaks Speed Record

Volvo’s Mean Green hybrid racer has broken the world’s speed record at Utah’s Wendover Airfield.  The truck clocked 236.577km/h (147.002mph) in a Flying Kilometer run and 153.252 km/h (95.245mph) in the Standing Kilometer. Mean Green Hybrid Gets Official World Record for Speed

The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has verified Boije Ovebrink’s world record speed run in the Mean Green hybrid truck.  The Swedish Automobile Sports Federation awarded Ovebrink with a diploma signifying the June 28th record-setting 152.252km/h in the standing 1,000 meter and 115.347km/h in the standing 500 meter run.
